Chapbook designed for circulation among participants and guests of the sixth edition of Lekhana (‘Bangalore’s Literary Weekend’), an initiative by the writers’ residency Sangam House. Free and open to all, Lekhana brings together people from South and South-east Asia for talks, readings, screenings and conversations around writings and literature.
The chapbook contains 30 poems by classical and contemporary Indian poets. Featured on the cover is the Empty Chair, a symbol traditionally used by PEN International to honour writers who “could not be present because they were imprisoned, detained, disappeared, threatened or killed.”
